In a transit ultrasonic meter, there are two ultrasonic transmitters which emit two signals across the inner surface of the pipe in a definite angle, one of which is along the flow and the other, opposite the flow direction, and the meter measures the transit time of each of these two.
It is known that the speed of the wave along the direction of the gas flow is increased and that of the other reduces. Based on the difference between these two times, using some calculation formula as well as correcting the pressure and temperature of the gas flow define the actual amount of the gas flow.
Such meters are mostly used for clean gases. However, following the recent improvements in electronic processing, these meters have also been considered for flows containing particles and impurities.
The SEM-WM-1625 smart electromagnetic water flow meter is used for monitoring water withdrawal from water sources and has been designed to operate in diverse environments. In addition to accurately measuring the amount of water withdrawn, this flow meter is capable of recording the events and data pertaining to the water withdrawal process during specified periods. This flow meter can transmit information to remote meter reading software both on its own and via communicating with smart electricity meters and cellular communications networks and receive its settings in the same way.
